Manchester City maintained their 100 per cent start to the season under Pep Guardiola and stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points with this emphatic win.
Guardiola’s men turned on the style with some magnificent goals in their dismantling of Bournemouth, who simply had no answer to City’s pace, guile and relentless pressing.
Kevin De Bruyne ran the show and opened the scoring, with further goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan, making his Premier League debut for the Blues.

FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 4-0 BOURNEMOUTH.
There will be two minutes added on at the end of this match.
It's getting unnecessarily feisty in these final minutes. Frustration is understandably high for Bournemouth, but it's a bit shocking to see some of these City players being dragged into it.
Needless Nolito
That was pointless from Nolito.
There was very little in it but you can’t put your head in another players face and he did thrust with intent towards Smith.
4-0 up and cruising but the Spaniard will miss the next three games now.
Smith is booked for his role in the altercation, though it's just a yellow for him.
CITY DOWN TO 10 MEN! It's too late for it to mean anything, but Nolito can have little argument as he goes face to face with Smith and motions forward with his head. It's ugly from Nolito and he's rightfully off.
Bournemouth are showing a bit of urgency, too little too late of course, as they hunt down a consolation goal. City aren't going to lay down for them, however. They want the clean sheet.

There's something about the baby-blue of Manchester that doesn't resonate well with Bournemouth. In three games against them since being promoted to the top flight they have lost each by a combined score of 13-1, with the final seven minutes here still pending.
STAT: Manchester City won both of their Premier League meetings with Bournemouth last season by a four goal margin (5-1 at home in October 2015, 4-0 away in April 2016).
Approaching the final 10 minutes now and the tempo has slowed significantly with the result all but settled. City are playing around with it at the back, and Bournemouth don't seem too insistent on pressing.
OFF THE BAR! Wilson gets on the end of a clever pull-back from Arter, but he rattles the underside of the bar with a clever first-time effort! The rebound is there to be hand, but the offside flag goes up as Bournemouth are left frustrated once again.
The Etihad rises to their feet to shower De Bruyne with praise as he's brought off for a rest for the last 15 minutes, replaced by Aleix Garcia.
Stanislas is replaced for the final 15 minutes, with Max Gradel on in his place.
Leroy Sane comes on for the final 20 minutes, replacing Gundogan who goes off to a thunderous applause.
City in the ascendancy
Another great move, again De Bruyne at the centre of it.
A cool finish from Gundogan for his first for the club, and it’s damage limitations now for Eddie Howe’s men.
Jack Wilshere comes off after a disappointing first start for the Cherries.
Here’s a look at Raheem Sterling celebrating City’s third goal.
STAT: Pep Guardiola has won his first four Premier League matches - the only manager to win their opening five games was Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea (won his opening six).
Wilshere is dragged off here. Dreadful afternoon for him, which mercifully comes to an end as he's replaced Dan Gosling.

De Bruyne at the heart of things again for City, with a stunning ball to tee up Gundogan.
CITY RUNNING RIOT! Lovely interplay on the left and De Bruyne plays a stunning ball to tee up Gundogan, and the German midfielder produces a wonderfully composed finish to mark his Premier League debut with a goal! Brilliant football from City!
THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SPECTACULAR! Sterling dispossesses Daniels on the flank and takes on four defenders successfully on his way through on goal, but he's eventually denied by Boruc at the near post! That's a piece of individual brilliance from the winger!
The tempo is slowing a bit as City adopt a more patient approach in possession. They're not looking to inflict any more damage on a Bournemouth side running very low on confidence for the time being.
Brad Smith warms up on the touchline and gets ready to make his way onto the pitch, but Boruc pleads his case with the training staff and looks to have been given the green light to continue. His goal-kick gets the match back underway.
Play comes to a halt as Boruc requires a bit of medical attention. He was fine for a while, but a knock picked up just before City's third goal seems to have caught up to him. If anything it's a nice break for the Bournemouth defence.
