After a frantic 36 hours that have seen Arsenal receive 22 offers, Jack Wilshere is set to sign for Bournemouth on a season-long loan.
Both Crystal Palace and Roma felt they were close to securing the England midfielder’s services but interventions from Eddie Howe and Wilshere’s former team-mate Benik Afobe have swung the pendulum back in the Cherries’ favour. Hale End graduate Wilshere is now on his way to the south coast to have a medical with Bournemouth.
