In-demand Sunderland defender Lamine Kone will hand in a transfer request as he looks to force through a move to Everton.
The centre back, who played a key role in the Black Cats’ escape from Premier League relegation last season, has been valued at £14million.
The Toffees, who are looking to fill the void left by the sale of John Stones to Manchester City, are keen on signing him over the weekend.
Sunderland, desperate to keep Kone, have offered him a new four-year contract with improved terms but it has not been accepted.
