The match kicks off at 5pm (Nigerian time).
Jose Mourinho and Claudio Ranieri United have a new manager in Jose Mourinho and are playing in the first match of the season having they won the FA Cup against Crystal Palace last season, while Leicester City won the Premier League in the most dramatic EPL season of all time.
Luke Shaw is back in the team after missing most of last season through injury and he is expected to start at left back but Chris Smalling who is yet to feature in pre-season could miss out.
Last season Ranieri’s Leicester City defeated Chelsea 2 – 1 in what many claim was the match that sealed Mourinho’s exit from Stamford Bridge.
According to Ranieri: “This is not a friendly. We will give the maximum and also Manchester United will too. Both teams want to win it.”
Both matches between United and Leicester in the Premier League last season ended 1-1 and this is the first time Claudio Ranieri will have managed a team at Wembley Stadium.
This will be Manchester United’s 30th appearance in the Community Shield. They’ve won the trophy on 20 previous occasions, a record figure.
