Chelsea are watching £6million Steaua Bucharest star Nicolae Stanciu.
The Romanian international, 23, is a central attacking midfielder, but can play on either wing.
Stanciu hit 14 goals and made 11 assists last season to attract the interest of a number of clubs across Europe.
He has also scored four goals in seven international appearances this year.
Stanciu’s hot streak continued in Bucharest’s Champions League qualification game against Sparta Prague on Wednesday night.
He scored both the goals in a 2-0 win as Steaua progressed 3-1 on aggregate.
