Rio Olympics: Mikel leaves Chelsea to join Nigeria U-23 team


 "Mikel Obi has left Chelsea to join Nigeria's U-23 team in their Atlanta camp ahead of the Rio Olympics"

– Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has left the club to join Nigeria's U-23 group at their preparation camp in Atlanta, in front of the Rio Olympics amusements 

– Mikel nearby four different players, William Troost-Ekong, Kingsley Madu, Oghenekaro Etebo and Daniel Akpeyi, joined the Nigeria U-23 group in the US.

The Nigeria senior group skipper took to his authority Instagram page (@John_mikel_obi) to make the declaration.

Mikel posted a photo of an instructional meeting with Chelsea with the inscription: "Initial segment of Chelsea preseason done. Off to Atlanta to join the Nigeria group for the Olympics 2016."

Alternate players are William Troost-Ekong, Kingsley Madu, Oghenekaro Etebo and Daniel Akpeyi.

Mikel and alternate players are in line to include in the group's last warm-up match against Rio-bound Honduras on Tuesday, July 26. The authority said: "Mikel and alternate players have affirmed their entry. "Their entry will unquestionably support group resolve."

Mikel and Akpeyi are the two over-matured players Coach Samson Siasia will parade in Rio one month from now, while Norway-based Troost-Ekong and Madu have been topped at full global level and will now make their presentation for the Olympic group.
