Photograph: Nigerian children flaunt their pinky fingers inoculated against polio

 

Some Nigerian children are envisioned flaunting the ink blemishes on their pinky fingers that mean they have been immunized against polio. Nigeria praises achieving two years without another instance of the wild polio infection today, 24 July 2016. The last Nigerian instance of this handicapping infection was on 24 July 2014; the nation is well on its approach to being pronounced without polio in 2017 on the off chance that it doesn't have another case in the following 365 days.
