Princess of pop music, Soaleze, launched her new album, The 5th Horseman with fanfare in Abuja recently. The grand and electrifying event was no kid stuff as it attracted the high and mighty including American music producer, Steve Fisher, who had deployed his skills and luxury studios working with a strong team on the 13-year-old musician.
Fisher holds an unequalled track record for producing over 100 RIAA certified gold and platinum releases, over 100 Billboard Top 10 projects, including over 30 Billboard #1’s, and being a part of over 20 Grammy nominated projects, including five Grammy winners.

Rendered in English, French, Igbo and Pidgin English, The 5th Horseman is a 14-track album of highly arranged songs all designed for success as an African and European crossover with a likely world and cross culture acceptance.
Already, two songs from the album, Ave Maria and The 5th Horseman, have their videos making waves on television. Produced by Soaleze’s father, Dili Biosah, who has worked with top acts like King Sunny Ade, Fela Anikulapo, and Onyeka Onwenu among others, the videos were shot on five different locations in the United States of America and directed by Carl Millender. A sneak preview of the works revealed that Catholics would find Ave Maria quite exciting while The 5th Horseman, a fast tempo song, would appeal more to the youths and party freaks.

According to Biosah, The 5th Horseman, which is being issued on the 11th Street Atlanta Records label, will be available for international distribution on the ME Universal Records system reaching 500 stores worldwide.
An elated Soaleze said the album would put her on a global platform. “The joy of starting my career this way is mind blowing. I thank God and my dad for looking out for me. I know the sky won’t be my limit because I plan to get beyond it,” she enthused.
Speaking on her daughter’s new album, Biosah says it is deliberately crafted for the new and rapidly emerging world beat category where it stands majestically different. “The rhythm is strong and African. The heady and soul stirring string works will bring it easily to European and American reckoning.
The album aims to achieve what most Nigerian releases except for Sade Adu and a very few others have truly failed to do: gain universal acceptance. The sound is robust, thumping and classy. The production is of topmost quality and vintage Steve Fisher! Every track brings a distinct arrangement clearly unlike the other. In it, there is music for the young and the mature old.
